Photographs at Berrington Hall Leominster
I had decided to top up images in my Photo Library with photographs of flowers, always useful for illustrating greeting cards and calendars, and also of some architectural images which I felt was in short supply for my clients.
I decided that visiting a National Trust property would offer lots of opportunities with interesting buildings and picturesque gardens and so Berrington Hall near Leominster in Herefordshire was chosen. The gardens and grounds the estate were designed by Capability Brown and the Hall is celebrating his ‘tercentenery’ – 300 years!
As expected the gardens were in superb condition with lots of colour and different settings available. Although the sky was overcast and made external photography a difficult option the light was even and reduced difficult contrast and shadows in other areas. Shots inside Berrington Hall were possible and the internal finishing of the rooms provided some very interesting subjects shown in the shots displayed here.
